Tips on Choosing the Right Tie for Men's Formal Attire

http://www.inmanzone.com/silk-necktie-10.htm
A necktie or tie is one of the most loved fashion accessories for men. Although it’s only just a small piece of clothing in a man’s wardrobe, it takes a big part in making his business attire look complete and best. It also has a great impact on his character and personality because it signifies that he has a good taste in fashion if he chooses the right tie that works well with him.

With so many choices for which tie to select among huge variety of style, design, color and patterns, it's really tricky and complicated to pick out the perfect one. So to help you out in choosing the right tie that best suits for you and complements well with your attire, here are some tips that you must take in consideration.

1. Consider the quality of fabric

When choosing a necktie, your first main concern is the quality of its fabric as well as the kind of material it has used. A good quality tie is made up of 100% silk. So it’s most recommended to buy a silk tie because you can’t go wrong with its luster and glossy that will definitely give you a polished appearance and perfectly complement your formal attire. Aside from this, it’s also durable to use because this kind of fabric will certainly last much longer.

2. Choose the Right Length of tie that is proportion to your height

Selecting the right length of the tie is another important key that should be considered when buying this kind of men’s fashion accessories. A tie can make or break your whole attire if it’s not proportion to your height. So if you are tall, you will look best if you choose a long tie and vice versa if you are shorter.

According to fashion tie experts, the best way to know the right length of the tie that best suit to your height, is that the triangular point at its wide end should meet your bucket when it’s tied properly around your neck. As much as possible, the tip of your tie should extend ½ inch past to your belt line.

3. Complement the Color of tie to your Dress Shirt or Suit

After choosing the quality and the right length of the tie that best suits for you, the next thing you need to consider is its color. Selecting the appropriate color of the tie should be matched with the color of your dress shirt or suit. So it’s necessary to know how to coordinate well its color to your attire for you to have a right balance and harmony.

For Plain White Dress Shirts

http://www.man-dress-shirt.com/
Any colored tie will match with a plain white dress shirt. So you will never go wrong in choosing in any of your tie especially if you are still in any doubt in dealing with its color combination.

For Colored Dress Shirts

http://mausandhoffmanonline.com/The best way to complement a tie with your colored dress shirts is to create a contrast. Basically, if you have a dark dress shirt, it’s recommended to use a light colored tie. On the other hand, if your dress shirt has a light color, you should use a dark colored tie. Wearing the same color of tie and dress shirt is also possible provided that the tie should be either lighter or darker with the color of the dress shirt.

For Stripped or Checkered Dress Shirts

http://www.man-dress-shirt.com/If you have a stripped or checkered dress shirt, just select a tie with a color that matches the dominant color of the stripes or checks in the dress shirt.

4. Coordinate the Pattern of tie to your Dress Shirt

Dealing with patterns is really hard in choosing the right tie that matches well with your dress shirt. Unlike with plain dress shirts that only included the color coordination while choosing a tie, ties for the stripped or checkered dress shirts must also consider its pattern coordination. That’s because patterns can also turn you down if they are not well-complemented so you really need to be very careful in coordinating them.

http://www.ctshirts.co.uk/A tie with box pattern, pin or polka dots can be matched to a stripped dress shirt. For checkered shirts, you can also wear a tie with diagonal stripes. But be sure to choose a color that complements well with the dominant color of the dress shirt before dealing with patterns.

http://www.ctshirts.co.uk/ And you must also consider the size of the stripes or the checks. Always remember that they should be different with the size of the stripes of your dress shirt to avoid looking dizzy. If you still in any doubt in dealing with patterns, just better consider the basic rule which is creating a contrast. So if you’re wearing a patterned dress shirt, just wear a solid colored tie and vice versa.

As soon as you get the tie that looks well with you, it’s really important to know how to tie it properly. This is your last step and the best key to look at your best with your tie.

Dr Mahathir Mohamad: Samy's Folly

Samy Vellu is desperate. A drowning man. Confused. Angry, infact with the whole world. Sungai Siput voters rejected him. Jobless. Powerless. No longer respected by the masses. Except by his few cronies. No more protocol. No more pom pom girls. No more red carpet. No more official function. No more invitation. No more speeches. No more VIP status. Lesser media attention. Infact, no longer an important man as he was before.

Nevertheless, he has created history as the longest serving PWD Minister in the world. Perhaps, we should all garland him for this. Wellway...wellway...wellway...hidup
Samy Vellu

Charles Mohan of NTV7 interviewed him recently at one of the MIC & Pandithan's political party. Another culprit. A provocater. A hippocrates. A racist in discreet. Charles Mohan actually instigated Sammy Vellu with question pertaining to Tun's remark in one of the function in JB recently. At that moment of anger, Sammy blasted out on matter pertaining to the racist remarks. I however, conclude that Sammy outburst is due to the manner Charles Mohan questioning him. It was infront of other MIC members. Sammy lost control of himself and lost face in public. Therefore, he let off his cool.

Within the Malay community in Malaya and now Malaysia, there
is a culture, or a believed, or a standing order that between a snake and an Indian, the Malay would killed the Indian first. This thinking existed simply because, from history, the Indian highly respect the British colonial master in Malaya before and after independent. The Indian with position in the British goverment those day looked down on the Malay ethnic as incapable, backward and illiterate. The Malays are being bullied. This are facts. Not something taken from nowhere. It is being told to me by my ancestors.

"Between the Snake and an Indian Killed the Indian first". Translating it, simply means a race which cannot be trusted.

Infact, the Indian was given another title, ie. as a "Double Headed Snake". Ular dua kepala. Cannot be trusted. Ungrateful. A rascal with big ego. God created them amongst the lost of all ethnic. A lowest of all caste.

In once occasion, I had the opportunity to assist Samy Vellu in one political function. It was chaos. Hectic and a mess. After everything was over, Samy Vellu remarked, that the worst thing on earth are, organising an Indian function. Imagine, the statement is by him. Not me.

Hold Sam...you are a leader too.

"We (the Malays) are not the type to protest and have accepted those who came to the country. We even accorded them rights unlike other countries," Dr. Mahathir said at a talk last Saturday.

"Despite the MIC appealing again and again for help, he refused to budge," Samy Vellu said, reacting to Mahathir's remarks during a talk last Saturday.

Penyebaran gambar terbaru model kelahiran Sabah, melalui majalah berkenaan mencetuskan kejutan terbaru berikutan gambar tubuh tinggi lampai bekas juara Pencarian Peragawati Antarabangsa Guess 2004 itu disifatkan berunsur erotik.

-----------------------------------

Malaysia’s top international model, Amber Chia is no doubt a really hot babe! She was born in Ipoh and raised in a small town in Tawau, Sabah. She first grabbed the model industry’s attention after a local fashion brand shot in Bangkok. From there on, the 24-year-old featured in numerous magazine covers such as Her World, VMAG and FHM, as well as commercials like Sony, Celcom and Diamond & Platinum.

Not too long ago, Amber Chia was even featured in the “Celebrity” column of the first issue of Indonesia’s Playboy magazine. Although banned in Malaysia, it still became a big news in Malaysia.

Here are some rare photos of Amber Chia from the magazine.

Dr Mahathir Predict Siapa Bakal Jadi 6th PM

Dr Mahathir Mohamad: Abdullah dan Najib

--------------------------------------------

"Alif Mim Nun TENDANG Wau....Sarkis!!!"

Perasankah saudara semua Seniman Agong Aziz Satar berkata

Alif + Mim + Nun + Wau = UMNO

How genius is the dress? The silhouette is simply amazing, wearing it would be like wearing an amour. But I can totally see how the structure works with the curves of a woman’s body— the enhanced hips and shoulders, the waistline…
An unforgettable little black dress.I have always love Marni’s clothes & accessories because they are versatile, practical and effortlessly chic. But I don’t know about these. Funny that these ruffled creations are actually by Marni because it is really dramatic and bold. The bag reminds me of corals you see in the sea, or just loads of bright orange flowers blooming (it is from the FALL collection by the way). But whatever, I am definitely not a big fan of the choice of colour and shape.
Would you carry it? It doesn’t mean that Fall is all about dark tones. You can go all black or grey for the cold season but bright and bold accessories like these suede shoes & bags can do wonders to your entire ensemble. My pick is the Louboutin clutch. The unique shape and the colour— simply eye-catching.Seeing that this is a big trend for Fall 08′, I am currently on the look out for hammer pants. I like the fact that it looks very comfy. If you match it well with say, a cool jacket, it can make you look rather chic. One problem I have with hammer pants is that it might not be very flattering to my legs (hello fat thighs!) and it only looks good if a tight top is tucked into it.
The Nina Ricci one is unique because it is in satin and have a lot of folds while the Louis Vuitton ensemble (so Marc Jacobs by the way) is— strictly for tall stylish women who can pull off it off.
What do you think?

Dr Mahathir Mohamad: Openness

The media controlled by government should be free and non-partisan.I hate reading the newspapers nowadays because its usually bout the same thing. And its very different from what is reported at the alternative media. I guess its what we choose to believe. It is very obvious that local media are now been control by authorities.

But my question is,

Is that good to control the media?

Well, It is not good to LIE the public. The truths are all been hidden by the gov't . Majority of us act like a frog inside a well of being not knowing the truth of our country. I hope there will be more purity of media and things in our country. We shouldn’t let this carry to the future. It isn’t a healthy practice

Dr Mahathir Mohamad: Openness

It's that relativity thing again, "openness". One do not have to "study" (as you had suggested) the mainstream media to observe their pinhole "openness". My bulging Hadhari eyeballs can certainly detect more openness (literally) flipping through the entertainment section of those newspapers. There were obvious "control" during your tenure of the premiership, but on hindsight, those were acceptable. These days? Oh dear... mainstream media reads like junk, even tabliods are more entertaining. The mainstream media's spin is only successful in cementing people's distrust of the government.

Warm summer evenings, sweet white eyelet, bare sun-kissed shoulders: the white eyelet dress is the perfect way to stay cool and look pretty doing it. But at what price?eyelet

At the high end (left) there's a white eyelet dress from Theory (Buy Direct). It features Italian cotton eyelet, sideseam pockets, a cotton lining, inset empire waist and a price tag of $345.

At the low end (right) there's a white eyelet dress from Fashion Bug (Buy Direct) that also has lining, cotton eyelet and seaming under the bust for support. It's $34.99. (Photo Credit: Left, Nordstrom; right, Fashion Bug)

Like I said, I’m hunting for my perfect bag (clearly, I need help!). I’m looking at way more bags than I ever have in my life in such a short period of time, so I’m starting to notice certain trends. For example, many designers who haven’t previously chosen to do so are using large metal plates on their bags. Kate Spade has a rather overstated version that I’m not such a fan of, and then more successfully here although I still don’t like the bag.

For an entirely successful and posh-looking execution, have a look at Anya Hindmarch’s “Shirley”. Jimmy Choo has integrated his metal plate into part of the Ramona bag’s latch, Mulberry did a very classy version which is, I think, my favourite so far. Bank Account

1. Several blogs have given space to a scurrilous statement that I, my wife and my children, have USD 199.45 million and S $ 42,000,000 in fixed deposit in the Israeli National Bank in Singapore.

2. The scum who alleges this does not have the guts to give his name.

3. UMNO can make a statement about the money I gave to Dato Abdullah when I stepped down. Better still Dato Abdullah can explain how much of the 1.4 billion Ringgit in cash, shares and property that my staff and one of his Ministers handed over to him is still with him.

4. I give full permission for the Israeli National Bank to make public these accounts so that I can claim the money said to belong to me and my family.

6. As for the anonymous scum, give your true name, I/C and address so that I can sue you.

A fabulous ring can make even the plainest hand look delicate and pretty, the only question is, where do you buy them from? Do you opt for the expensive rings, in hope that they'll last you longer and not stain your hand a funny colour from the metal, or opt for the more affordable cheaper rings which might not last as long because all the stones will probably fall out?

It all depends on how often you're gonna wear the ring. If you're a full-time party girl and are likely to have it on a lot of the time, then perhaps a more expensive ring is your best bet...but if you're like me and you'd only wear it occassionally, then perhaps the affordable route is the best way to go.

I found two online retailers, Miss Bollywood who have rings ranging from £1.99 - £4.70 in price, and Shefaly House of Jewels who have rings available from £10 - £24. Let's compare!!! How do you accessorise your party outfits? There's the usual suspects - earrings, necklace, bracelets, matching shoes, handbag. You have those things ready and waiting, but what if you want something special to REALLY make you stand out? Get yourself a funky hair accessory!!Depending on the occassion, you can have something big and bold (and expensive!), like the ones displayed above, from Cherry Chau, Kyles and Basia Zarzycka.

Alternatively, most high street stores have more simple and affordable hair accessories. Check out these red hot numbers from Accessorize and John Lewis.

Gelapnya Masa Depan UMNO - Dr. M

Dr. Mahathir Tidak Akan Berundur!

PETALING JAYA: Former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad says he will not quit as adviser to Proton and Petronas voluntarily, adding that he prefers to be kicked out.

“If they want to take away my positions, they are welcome, as I am not dependent on them and not even if they give me RM15,000 a month. I am not interested. So anytime they say get out, I will get out, no problem,” he said.

Warm welcome: Participants greeting Dr Mahathir as he arrives for a forum at a hotel in Petaling Jaya yesterday.

Earlier when asked if he would relinquish the positions, he said: “It may be an option, if I feel that I have to do so. But I'd prefer if they kicked me out.''

Dr Mahathir also suggested that Umno MPs form an independent group instead of crossing over to the Opposition if they were dissatisfied with the present leadership.

He said crossing over to the Opposition was wrong, as they would be subjected to opposition policies.

“By forming a separate group, say at least 35 of them, this will cause the Government to collapse and the current Prime Minister will have to resign.

“Then if PKR adviser Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim tries to become the Prime Minister and if the votes go to him and then if Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak have the guts to step in, the 35 MPs can give their votes to him.

“When he (Najib) becomes the Prime Minister, Barisan Nasional remains in power, and it will be no loss to anyone except to Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi,” he told a press conference after his speech during a forum “Suntikan Semangat Satria” here yesterday.

The event was organised by NGOs known as Minda Melayu Kreatif, Kelab Cinta Amanah Melayu and Arena PJS14.

He was commenting on Anwar’s claims that certain MPs from Sabah were expected to “jump ship” by Sept 16.

On whether Mohamad Ezam Mohd Nor was a Trojan horse for his former party PKR, Dr Mahathir said: “He may be that (Trojan horse) but what I do know is that Anwar is anxious to be supported by Umno and he may want to join Umno at some stage, if he can become the Prime Minister.”

Oversized Bags

Bags this spring 2006 are busy, busy, busy, with lots of stitch detail. Busy, grossly oversized bags are the latest 'it' bags of the season. Don't worry if you can't afford a top of the range designer bag, because the high street has done it's best to accommodate everyone. Last season's craze for a bag such as the Fendi Spy, Chloé Paddington, Silverado or Marc Jacobs Stam, means that you will be able to find high street gear that has similar elements.

In both designer and high street shops look out for larger handbags than you have ever had before. Examine bags with extra buckle down straps, edges wrapped with leather thonging, plaited areas and plait handles. Other textural techniques include studs, padlocks, frills, gathers and tassels. Most of all, check out the metallic finishes, including inexpensive fast fashion bags, such as those shown in the header at a Marks and Spencers Per Una section.

Bags for spring have plenty of interesting accessories, for example, pockets, tassels, dangling charms, leather appliqué, free form logo attachments, key rings, and metal ornament as buckles. Then there are neat finishing touches in the form of gold and steel tone studs, crystal beads and leather rouleau bows. You are reading an original fashion article written by ©

Previously, TheStar published:

KUALA LUMPUR
: Tan Sri Sanusi Junid has been "relieved of his duties" as International Islamic University Malaysia president with immediate effect.

In his second term now and with two more years to serve, he said he received the letter, dated June 2, on Monday.

The letter was from the Sultan of Pahang, the constitutional head of the university, Sanusi said.

He had previously said he would not step down from the post, which he considered part of his “duty to God and service to the people.”

The former Kedah Mentri Besar said there had been speculation over his post after he had resigned from Umno, following former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s resignation on May 19.

On June 1, Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Khalid Nordin that there was no reason for Sanusi’s services to be terminated unless he “played politics” at campus.
